I know that it is awful. I admit that I now feel very foolish, dumb, and guilty for having ever thought this way in the slightest bit. But, before having Harper, I did not give motherhood enough credit.
When I was pregnant, Kenny and I were talking with his brother and sister-in-law about our plans for the summer. I was saying how after I had Harper, I was going to go to school and get a part time job and still be able to do the whole mom and breastfeeding thing because I was worried about not having enough to do after working and going to school full time for the last year and a half... I wanted to keep myself busy. They were both very sweet about my foolishness... gave a chuckle, a nice smile, and wished me good luck (looking back, they both clearly knew that I had no clue what was coming).
Tomorrow, it will be my two months into eternity (because that is how long you are a mom for, eternity) and I must say that being a mom is hard work! In these two months, I have felt more tired, frustrated, confused, incapable, incompetent, overwhelmed, and exhausted than I could have ever imagined. However, I have also felt and been given the most patience, acceptance, support, and unconditional from Kenny, Harper, my family, and my Heavenly Father than I could have ever imagined. It has been simply amazing. I am truly blessed to be a mom.
On that note, I owe a HUGE thank you to my mother! She is the best! I truly aspire to be like my mother. She is such a good example to me with her constant service and care for others, her strong foundation in the gospel, and her steadfastness in standing for what is right. She is the most amazing women ever. She was my best friend all growing up. She is always there to just listen when I need to talk and give comforting advice. She knows just what to say and is usually right. She has always been there supporting and helping me. I just wish and hope that I can be half the mother, friend, and example for my kids that my mom was for me.

Thanks Mom! I love you so much!
