If only I was a WITCH...

I have so much that I should be doing right now. Cleaning up the dinner and breakfast dishes, making the bed, picking up the living room, attempting to stay caught up on my readings for classes ( Guns, Germs, and Steel, I do not suggest it...reading it is like pulling teeth!), practicing ASL, writing my paper that is due in two weeks, study for my exam next Tuesday, getting ready for work, and the list goes on and on and on. However, I am not in the mood to do any of the above. Working 35 hours a week and going to school full time is taking its toll... I am exhausted and just want to chill out and relax.

Ever since watching Bewitched a few weeks ago (one of my all time favorite shows) I have been left thinking what life would be like if I was a witch. I am here to tell you that life would be a lot easier if I was Samantha. All she has to do is wiggle her nose and she can do whatever wants or have whatever she wants done for her. I have been entertaining the thought of having her "power" ever since I watched it last, and let me tell you it would be fabulous! With a simple wiggle of my nose, I could have dinner made, dishes done, apartment organized and cleaned, be done with my homework and reading for the week, have folded the laundry, and much much more without wearing myself thin!
*Confession- more than once these past few weeks, I have wiggled my nose at several items (red lights, dishes, laundry-dirty and clean-, broken computers) in hopes that they would magically be fixed and do what I want them to do. However, it is always a let down when my wiggling attempts fails. I have even tried wiggling it in different ways but to my dismay have never succeeded. So now I am in the acceptance stage of coming to terms with the fact that I do not have magical powers nor will I ever be a witch! I guess I am just going to have to get things done the old school way! *

Wish me luck! :)

Coming to Earth Days

This week was my twin brothers and my birthday. Theirs was Wednesday and mine was Thursday, so we got to celebrate that this week. On Wednesday, Kenny and I took Stephen some balloons, brownies, and a little gift. It was fun seeing him on his birthday. When we showed up at his apartment none of his roommates knew that it was his birthday. It was good to go and see him.

Stephen and I on his birthday.

I am going to start off about my birthday saying that I have the greatest, most thoughtful, and sweet husband ever ( sorry to everybody else, but I got him)! Not only did I have a birthDAY, but I had a birthWEEK! Kenny is so sweet to me, I love him so much. So anyways, it started on Sunday with breakfast in bed. He did sweet things all week long for me. On Thursday, it started with breakfast in bed again... he woke up way early so we had time to eat it before we had to get ready for school. When I got home from work, I had dinner waiting and got one of my presents ( he filled up some of my pictures frames with our favorite engagement pictures). Then after going to my ASL class, I came home to my favorite cake and ice cream and more presents (which was a total suprise, because he had a budget to stick to). And that was not even the end, birthday week ended yesterday... we went out to eat at an amazing restaurant, Tucanos, and went shopping. I had the perfect birthday week, my husband is so amazing!

My best friend, Kenny is so amazing! I love getting to share my life with him!

This is the best cake ever, it is Linda's Cinnamon Bundt Cake (Sister Quick is amazing with the baked goods)!

The Reflections of Christ book. I love this, the pictures are amazing. If you have not seen or heard about this click here. Watch the video, it is breath taking. Also, along with this book was a note from Kenny saying that I can buy myself some temple clothes. I am so excited for those!

The cupcakes my friend Melissa gave me.

The card and flower from Stephen, I am lucky to have such a cool brother.

This is the restaurant we went to yesterday. I have never had so much good food in my entire life. OH MY GOSH... it was amazing! I could not stop eating... I have NEVER been so stuffed. I seriously thought I was not going to be able to hold it all down. But it was just too good to stop. They also sang for my birthday and I got a free sundae. It was fun, we are on their birthday club so I can't wait for May so we can go again for Kenny's birthday.

Officially a Cougar!

So I know that this is really little kiddish... but it was a monumental day... my first day of school at BYU Provo! I think Kenny was being a little bit sarcastic this morning when he said I should take a back to school pictures... but little did he know, I was going to suggest it anyways! So here are my first day of school pictures. I am so excited to be going to classes again. I had world civilizations and anthropology this morning and I will go to Health Promotion and American Sign Language tomorrow. I am so excited to learn ASL, I have wanted to do it for a long time now.

Break pictures

So for Christmas Kenny and I went to Texas to spend it with my family. It was so fun and good to see everybody. Here are some random pictures that we got with our NEW CAMERA (thanks Santa)...

My Grandma Dethloff, Riley, and I on Christmas morning.

My Grandpa rocking out on the Guitar Hero that Chris, Cole, and Riley got.

Riley and I playing Wii. She is so fun... and totally kicked my trash in Tony Hawk.

The heated and intense Scrabble game.

Also, when we were home, we were so fortunate to get to attend Riley's baptism. I was so glad that we got to be a part. Riley is so cute and I am so proud of the amazing decision she made to be baptized.
